Senior Medical Writer -

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects across the full spectrum of medical communications activities, including congress activities, training materials, websites, and digital apps.

Role & Responsibilities:

Have an extensive scientific understanding and knowledge of the key therapy areas in which you support, including landscape, product, competitors, and the suitable messaging to use in the disease areanServe as the medical writing representative on assigned project teams, providing proactive support to project leadership for planning efficient work plans and timelines for medical writing deliverablesnBe able to translate the science with integrity, empathy, and impactnPlay a role in contributing to the development of product strategy, scientific messaging and statementsnResponsible for content developed by themselves and other writers on the teamnEnsure communication and educational messages are relevant, actionable and demonstrate a positive impact on patient outcomesnLead assigned projects/groups of projects to ensure delivery to deadline and budgetnEnsure document content and style adheres to appropriate regulatory guidelines and complies with house or client SOPs and style guidelinesnCoaches others in developing content for a diverse range of medical communications projectsnRecognises the importance of motivation and guidance, empowering colleagues to deliver and encouraging individual ownershipnAssist the client services team by proactively discussing any changes in project specification/deadline that impact on project budgets and financial forecasts

Requirements:

Degree (science, preferably life science); PhD or MSc (desirable)nScientific knowledge and understandingnProficiency in delivering high-quality written worknPresentation skillsnHigh level of drive, motivation, and initiativenExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsnAwareness of industry guidelines and best practice and their applicationnExperience working in Medical Communications (agency/pharma)
