Our client, a global law firm, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365) to join their innovative IT team. Role Overview:


As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the firm's IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on Microsoft 365. You will ensure the robustness, security, and efficiency of IT services, supporting the firm's operations globally. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in infrastructure engineering within a professional services environment, preferably legal, accounting, or audit.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure with a focus on the M365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across the M365 environment.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Manage and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
  • Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.


Essential Qualifications and Experience:


  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer in a professional services environment (legal, accounting, audit, or similar).
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Strong proficiency in managing and supporting Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Desirable Skills:


  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and other Azure services.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance features in M365.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
