A Local Authority based in the South of Wales is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Brokerage service that focus on commissioning placements for Children being Looked After through a range of means such as Foster Families, Residential Homes or Supported Accommodation
Highlights
Unique role which will let you use your experience within front line teams in a different capacity providing a unique challenge and improving future employment prospects
You will be working with a number of external partners to ensure that children and young people have a stable and nurturing place to stay
This post sits within the commissioning service where you will be able to gain experience in a environment that is different from front line social work teams
You will be working in a largely stable team which experienced very little turnover, where most of the workers are permanent including the manager.
As this is a long standing team they are very supportive and will help you get settled into the role. The manager has been on the team for some time and are always available for further support if required. This is an excellent opportunities if you are looking for a post that is unique and different from the traditional front line social work role. The role focuses more on the back office side of things and is generally non client facing where the focus will be working with external providers to ensure that children and young people that are in the care of the Local authority had a safe and nurturing place to stay.
To be considered for this post you should have experience within a front line Social Work team - candidates from a fostering background are also being considered.
