Goods Inwards Inspector

Carry out inspection activities to ensure product compliance to drawing requirements.
Needs to be fully conversant with local workmanship standards as applicable.
Needs to be fully conversant with relevant business Quality Management systems.
Processing receipted goods to ensure high quality at an appropriate standard of manufacture. This will be a mixture of bespoke and commercial off-the-shelf items.Core Duties
Undertake routine QC Inspection activities with some supervision.
Have a clear understanding of and be able to apply local Management System policies, procedures and processes.
Receiving of delivered goods.Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge:
Have a detailed knowledge in all aspects of QC Inspection.
Have a detailed knowledge of Defence industry and ISO9001/ EN9100 standards.
Have a detailed understanding of manufacturing standards such as ANSI J/IPC or similar.
Good understanding of own discipline within Quality and a limited understanding of other disciplines.Skills:
Is required to make judgements based on own knowledge and experience of similar situations.
Must be able to use technical knowledge to determine product compliance.
Must be able to effectively interpret technical data (drawings/specifications) to inform decisions.
Thought process must be structured and logical, with general attentiveness and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Ability to exchange technical information in an articulate and concise manner.
Ability to work in a team.
Behave in accordance with company Code of Conduct at all times
