Are you a well experienced planning and logistics professional with a background working in chemical production environments?Do you have proven expertise of SAP processes in Sales and Distribution, Production Planning and Materials Management?If the answer is yes, this could be the role for youThe OpportunityDue to successful project expansion, a fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Logistics and Planning Team leader to join a global leader in speciality chemicals.This position offers a competitive salary/ benefits package including market leading pension contributions, share scheme, and 25 day holiday allowance + bank holidays.Your duties and responsibilities will beAs a Planning and Logistics team lead you will work under the Planning and Logistics manager and play a key role in ensuring company’s efficiency by managing the site logistics supply and the demand against capacity for site and suppliers, ensuring stock policies are reviewed and managed within business guidelines.You will be responsible for the Logistics day team and coaching all staff within the departmentConduct reviews of stock levels during the month, ensuring production is in line with sales forecasts and creating a monthly stock reportBe responsible for continually devise and create improvements to systems and ways of working to improve efficiency and the speed of delivery of informationManaging escalations within the department to ensure a timely response is made to the Customer Relations teamManage the allocation and shortage management process with Customer Relations and Sales to ensure the department is taking appropriate action.You will have the following qualifications and experienceExtensive knowledge of SAP processes in the Sales & Distribution, Production Planning and Materials Management modules.To be educated to a GCSE level.Prove high level of proficiency in MS Office packages.Demonstrable experience of site manufacturing, processes, products, tollers and suppliers.Get in touch nowIf you have extensive logistics and planning experience and thrive within a team environment, then this could be the role for you so apply now and a member of our team will be in touch with youMillbank Holdings Ltd is an equal opportunities employer and respects diversity.
