Summary of the role
We are currently looking for a Regulatory Policy Specialist (FCA Liaison & Corporate Oversight) to join our growing compliance team. In this role, you will play a key supporting position, ensuring our organisation meets its corporate responsibilities to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Your responsibilities will include liaising with the FCA Supervision Team to support our Proactive Engagement Programme, overseeing the effective operation of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR), and ensuring timely and accurate regulatory reporting.

What you'll be doing
- Assessing and tracking incident notification to FCA
- Conducting rule breach reporting
- Meeting regulatory reporting requirements
- Supporting Operations in the maintenance of Training and Competence (T&C) Policy and oversight of the business in its adherence to the T&C Scheme
- Implementing and maintaining compliance owned regulatory policies and procedures
- Supporting effective engagement with key stakeholders, including the Risk
Audit & Compliance Committee, the Executive Management Team, Governance forums and clients
What we're looking for
- Proactive, discreet, communicative, pragmatic and possess a methodical approach
- Proven Financial Services sector experience
- Detailed knowledge of FCA rules and regulations
- Strong understanding of regulatory structure and process, regulations and their underlying principles
- Ability to produce concise reports for managers and clients
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Ability to undertake travel to other locations as reasonably required.
- Self-starter and willing to work on a wide variety of topics.
- Strong questioning attitude to regulatory requirements
- Strong focus on action and results - understands shared ownership of compliance outcomes with business areas
