Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for an experienced System Engineer to join our team at the repository in Cumbria.
As part of this role, you will develop and maintain expertise on assigned plant system(s) and/or area(s) and to use this knowledge to improve facility reliability and safety by ensuring the overall performance, safety, condition, and associated documentation of these assigned systems are maintained to a high standard. The System Engineer is a multi-disciplinary role and serves as the technical “owner” of their assigned systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
* HND or equivalent Level 5 qualification in an Engineering Discipline.
* Experience of working in a Multi-disciplinary role.
* Demonstrable experience in the production of technical reports, specifications and engineering documentation.
* Working knowledge and experience of Maintenance Strategy development principals and processes.
* Experience of analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience of assessing asset condition and performance
* An ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Desirable
* BEng degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
* Full Membership (IEng or CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institute.
* Previous experience of supporting project delivery.
* Experience of configuration baseline management.
* Previous Engineering experience in the nuclear industry
