Spirehouse Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst for a 12-month position based with a Social Housing provider in Milton Keynes.
The Financial Analyst role is a 12-month position, would ideally start swiftly and acts as a key position within the financial planning & treasury team to produce the 30-year Business Plan. The post will also lead the ongoing review and monitoring of capital funding requirements from the business development programme.
Experience in a Financial Analyst role, knowledge of business planning and Social Housing expertise are all required in order to secure this post.
The post will cover many facets including, but not limited to:
* Preparing the consolidated 30-year business plan together with related analysis for external and internal stakeholders, taking account of strategies, growth aspirations, capital investment and development programme
* Undertaking annual stress test scenario modelling of the Business Plan upon assessment of key risks and working with managers across the business to identify mitigations to formulate recovery plans
* Being responsible for the quarterly update of the Business Plan, aligning the actual performance, updated financial forecasts and agreed forward projections in relation to development pipeline, capital expenditure and income
* Ensure forecasts are up to date and accurate by feeding the development projections and assumptions into the Business Planning process using Sequel and Brixx software
* Providing an effective financial planning service to the wider business to support Corporate projects and plans with any financial impact analysis
* Providing constructive challenge to improve accuracy and understanding of finances and forecasts, whilst monitoring and suggesting improvements to processes and outputs
* Acting as a business partner to development project managers providing support and guidance on forecasting cash flows accurately whilst monitoring variances of actual against forecasts
* Working with the Development Business Partner to review new scheme financial appraisals and associated analysis to ensure informed and appropriate decision making is made within agreed parameters.
To secure the Financial Analyst post, the business are seeking the below:
* Proven experience in a Financial Analyst or similar role
* Full qualifications up to ACCA or SIMA
* Knowledge of business planning
* Working experience in a Social Housing environment
