This role involves working at one of the country’s most prestigious racing venues catering for up to 40,000 racegoers on a race day and hosting wide variety of premier non race day events including exhibitions, conferences, banqueting, parties and weddings.nThe Senior Bars Manager will manage and drive the implementation and delivery of retail food and drink operations for both race day and non-race day events. They'll take charge in delivering a first class hospitality service to all guests and deliver a culture of excellence across the bar team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESnManage the day-to-day administration of K Stock – drink stock management system.nManage and communicate with all Beverage suppliers.nComplete product orders in a timely manner using KStock & Epos historical data to produce these orders to ensure no stock outs for race days and events.nLiaise with the commercial team to ensure customers’ requirements are catered for.nEnsure compliance with cellar management including, line cleaning stock control and equipment maintenance.nExceed agreed racing retail ASPH year on year.nWork with our F&B development team to continually develop ranging to drive sales and GP working with departments to deliver GP.nOversee and manage retail, conference and banqueting events as allocated by the head of F&B.nWork with the Head of F&B and sales office to ensure the scheduling of the management team is sufficient for each event.nWork within the parameter of the P&L and achieve the targets set by the Head of F&B.nEnsure adherence to company policy on cash handling and all associated procedures.nEnsure compliance with all food hygiene legislation and that staff always comply with Health & Safety regulations; to pursue any training requirements needed for specialist areas.nUnderstand market trends to develop and enhance our offer and delivery.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONnExperience of high volume multi bar management.n5 years’ Bar & Cellar management experience.nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to make key decisions.nAmbitious, energetic and a great team player.nExcellent knowledge of Excel.nOrganised and be able to work under pressure and to tight timeframes.nA good communicator and able to lead a team.nPersonal license holdernGood logistics and organisational skills managing multiple teams across a large sitenExcellent knowledge of Epos and stock management systems.nPossesses a hands on approach and be part of the service delivery.nHave a thorough understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.nForklift license preferable but not essential.nExcellent knowledge of licensing law.
