We have a large diverse team of talented Safe & Happy People, combining their strengths and ambition to bring innovation and evolution which ensures Sustainability for all stakeholders.Across our key sectors – Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates, and supported through our regional office network supported by our manufacturing hub located in the heart of Somerset which forms part of our 60,000ft head office complex – we deliver diverse and interesting projects and programmes throughout UK infrastructure.Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.Role PurposeDue to continued growth bridges are currently looking for an electrician supervisor on a permanent basis. This role will involve supervising electrical engineering works to be completed on INSERT REGION.The RoleCore hours Monday to Friday, contracted to 40hrs per week on site hours. Paid hourly with overtime paid by the hour.You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.Company van can be provided and fuel card.

  • To be responsible for supervising electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to by the site teams
  • Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards.
  • To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment.
  • To coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
  • Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients.
Requirements
  • ECS gold card (essential)
  • SSSTS / SMSTS (essential)
  • Experience as an Electrical Supervisor.
  • Experience within water infrustructure industry
  • Good client engagement and communication skills
  • Able to manage own and others workload
  • Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
  • CCNSG (or similar)
  • Full UK driving license
Desirable:
  • EUSR water hygiene
  • Thames water passport
  • Test and Inspect
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider
  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined space
  • Industrial and/or panel wiring experience
