We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our team of engineers and technicians in our Chorley office. This reputable and successful consultancy practice has an established nationwide client base, often providing repeat business, with varied and exciting projects predominantly in the industrial and commercial sectors.


Ideally the candidate will have the following attributes


  • Chartered or working towards chartered status with the ICE or IStructE, with previous experience in design and drawing a range of building structures including reinforced concrete/steel/drainage
  • Degree level educated in the UK
  • Solid knowledge of current British and European Standards and UK Building Regulations
  • Familiar with up to date software packages including Autocad, Revit, Tekla/TEDDS, and drainage modelling software or similar packages
  • Ability to address complex design tasks, produce technical drawings, specify and detail building structures with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels both written and verbally, and willing to contribute to the day to day running of the office
  • Work well in a friendly team environment with the ability to prioritise workload, work to deadlines and be reliable
