We're seeking a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team, collaborating closely with Mechanical Design, Project, and Software teams. The role involves providing control panel layouts, schematic drawings, component and cable specifications, and support to installation teams and clients.
Responsibilities:
Generate electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams using Eplan Pro Panel.
Specify and source components, consumables, and hardware to meet project requirements and cost targets.
Collaborate with the Software department on PLC/HMI selection.
Support Spares/Service department with parts sourcing and technical queries.
Work to customer-provided specifications and relevant legislation/standards.
Ensure product safety, compliance, and quality.
Provide technical support on sales enquiries and product quality matters.
Conduct technical design calculations and integrity checks.
Collaborate with Mechanical Design department on control system packaging.
Research obsolete component replacements and specify correct parameters.
Work with low voltage AC and DC systems.Qualifications & Skills:
Time-proven practical electrical wiring experience (mechanical experience beneficial).
Previous electrical CAD experience, preferably with Eplan Pro Panel.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Word and Excel.
HNC/HND qualification or above in electrical engineering.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and data.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Proactive in seeking improvement opportunities and delivering solutions.
Additional knowledge of international control panel design, PLC hardware/software, and industrial networking systems would be advantageous
