At Engage Education, we’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work in a college in the Croydon area who are currently recruiting for a full time Plumbing Lecturer to start in April 2023.
This is a full-time, long-term role across 5 days per week. This role comes with plenty of room for career progression for those who commit to the college’s passion for providing a supportive and enriching environment for these young adults. The school also places great emphasis on staff wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance. The succesful applicant will be working as part of their friendly and professional Technical & Vocational Skills department and will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area. You will be teaching Level 1-2 plumbing courses.
Working closely with the Head of Department and the rest of the departmental team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.
The school is looking for a confident educator who has the ability to understand & connect with the students on an educational level, and prepare them for their lives beyond school. It offers a wide variety of full time courses to ensure that young people have the practical skills to go on to their chosen career or university course.
A full teaching qualification such as a PGCE, DET/DTLLS or Cert ED
Experience of delivering teaching up to and including Level 2
A Level 3 Plumbing qualification (though Level 2 may be considered)
Relevant Plumbing industry experience
It is also highly desirable that you hold the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and also desirable for you to also hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held (e.g. We are Engage Education, the most trusted education recruitment agency, with professional development and support at our core.
