Location: Portsmouth
Shift pattern: 6am-2pm Mon-Fri, 2pm-11pm Mon-Thurs, 2-6pm Fri
Salary: £16.50-18 per hour dependent on experience
We are currently working in partnership with a best-in-class successful complex component manufacturing company that provide global services. Due to their continued success and internal promotions, they are looking for a CNC Turner Programmer to join their busy machining department.
CNC Turner Programmer responsibilities:
Programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC lathes using Mazak controls.
Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to correct manufacturing environments.
Good knowledge in tool setting and tooling requirements.
Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to repeat manufacturing requirements.
Comfortable performing inspection on components using manual measuring tools.
Work and promote the culture of continuous improvement, 5S and Lean manufacturing standards.CNC Turner Programmer requirements:
Minimum of three years previous experience of programming within a precision machining centre is essential.
Used to working to tight tolerances on all types of materials.
Ability to use measuring equipment including: micrometers, height gauges, comparators, bore clocks.Benefits of the CNC Turner Programmer role:
