Senior Design Engineer job vacancy in the R&D product innovation electromechanical design engineering team. The company design and manufacture world leading industrial appliances. The Design Engineer is part of the cradle to grave product design team. As a Senior Design Engineer you’ll be involved with R&D innovation, creating electrical and mechanical engineering ideas for product design, CAD detailing and documentation, and helping to take ideas through feasibility, DFMEA and detailing electro mechanical in CAD (Solidworks).
Negotiable Salary £45,000 guideline, 8% employer pension contribution, 25 days off (+BHols) & company-wide bonus often worth around 5%.
As a Senior Design Engineer, you be part of a team responsible for creating and developing innovative designs and technical solutions for various products, systems, or components.
* Team based working on site Monday to Friday.

The ideal background and skills required are based around the following engineering design hard skills coupled with the soft skills of design innovation, team working and proactive mindset.
* Engineering degree, HND or Level 4 Engineering Apprenticeship
* Design engineering 3D CAD drawing skills; creating & updating electromechanical engineering 3D CAD models and technical drawings. Solidworks ideally, but any engineering 3D CAD package is fine.
* Eye for detail and ability to complete designs & documentation on time as part of a team project.
Negotiable Salary £45,000 guideline, 8% employer pension contribution, 25 days off (+BHols) & company-wide bonus often worth around 5%.
All Design and development happens at HQ in Hinckley. Appliances are manufactured in Hinckley and exported to customers globally especially the USA (Starbucks, Circle K, etc) and in the UK Greggs, Subway, and major coffee chains etc).
This job is commutable from Leicester, Coventry, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Leicester, Loughborough, Coalville, Ashby, Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield and surrounding areas.
