We are looking to recruit a Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant for a 6 month fixed term period, who will join a small but busy team during a period of prototype build.


Your responsibilities:


As a Purchasing Assistant / Junior Buyer, you will support procurement and the engineering team by managing purchasing activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of various parts and components for the manufacture of EV charging products.


  • Procurement of low-value parts and components according to company requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and invoices.

Requirements:


  • Candidates will need excellent negotiation and communication skills with proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Junior Buyer, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel. A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
