About Our Client

Our client is a global financial services business. The business primarily operates as an investment bank, offering a range of financial services to clients across Europe.


Primary Responsibilities

  • To support in the evaluation and analysis of the environmental, social and governance practices of the company. This function will provide insights across disciplines in regard to sustainability and ethical performance of potential investments. The role will play a crucial role in promoting responsible investing and considering long-term impacts beyond financial returns.
  • To evaluate all financial and investment information, for the purpose of preparing and making recommendations for ESG investments to senior management.


About the Role / Duties

  • Perform ESG research to aid in investment decisions.
  • ESG Investment analysis including data analysis of financial information and macro trends
  • Meet with management of the ESG companies that they are researching or similar key players
  • Preparation of investment proposals and other materials
  • Portfolio monitoring and tracking of investments
  • Assist in ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting
  • Preparation of company ESG reports
  • Managing the operational side of the investment activity
  • Provide sector and portfolio analysis to inform risk reports and analysis.
  • Maintain knowledge and monitor developments in the ESG markets.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external contacts inform investment recommendations.
  • Actively contribute on ad-hoc projects across the team, as they arise.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree educated, preferably in finance, business or economics.
  • CFA qualification in ESG investing.
  • Excellent grasp on ESG issues in the context of investment management.
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders on ESG matters.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience asset management / investment management experience
  • Strong knowledge of ESG-driven investing and ESG portfolio data.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses a strategic mindset and a genuine interest in equity investing
  • Familiarity with ESG concepts and sustainability practices
  • Exemplary communication and relationship building skills
  • Thorough understanding of investment analysis principles and valuation methods.
  • Proficient in utilising MS Office tools for numerical analysis and report writing
