Quality Assurance Manager

We are currently searching for an experience Quality Assurance Manager to join an exciting data centre project based in West London. The project is in its early stages and as the main works start, the need for a full time QA Manager has arisen.


As QA Manager you will be:

  • Developing QA Policies and Procedures: Establishing and implementing QA policies, procedures, and standards that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Planning: Developing quality plans for construction projects, including defining quality criteria, inspection and testing protocols, and quality assurance checkpoints.
  • Quality Control: Overseeing the execution of quality control processes throughout the construction project lifecycle, including monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Evaluating and selecting reliable vendors and suppliers of construction materials and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Training and Education: Providing training and guidance to construction teams on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and addressing issues promptly.
  • Quality Inspections and Audits: Conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Document Control: Managing documentation related to quality assurance activities, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality assurance reports.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Investigating non-conformities, defects, and quality issues, and leading efforts to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements, and expectations. Facilitating clear and effective communication regarding quality-related matters.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitoring quality performance metrics, analyzing data trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements across projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and industry certifications applicable to construction projects.


Required:

  • Extensive experience operating in a QA role in the Construction/Civil Engineering industry.
  • Ability to produce Quality Management Plans and enforce them.
  • Advanced Fieldview software knowledge is essential.
