Search are working in Partnership with a local company. Working in an environment that supports the development and well-being of young children from birth to 5 years old. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged birth to 3, in line with the pre-birth to 3 curriculum
- Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and develop
- Monitor and record children's progress, identifying areas for support and working with parents and colleagues to address these needs
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and deliver a high-quality early years curriculum
- Ensure all activities meet the requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and follow the principles of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC)
- Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's development and involving them in the learning process
Qualifications and Experience:
- HNC in Childhood Practice or equivalent qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience of working in an early years setting, specifically with children aged birth to 3
- Strong understanding and experience with the pre-birth to 3 curriculum and the principles of GIRFEC
- Must meet the registration requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Must be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver high-quality care and education
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the well-being and development of young children
- Ability to adapt to the changing needs of children and the early years environment
