Substance Misuse Recovery Worker

The role provides a competitive hourly rate of up to £19.50, reflecting the value of your expertise and dedication. Initially offered as a long-term locum contract, there is potential for this position to evolve into a permanent role, providing stability and growth for the right candidate.
As a Substance Misuse Worker, the primary focus will be on supporting individuals who are struggling with substance misuse. The role involves assessing their needs, developing tailored intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to help them achieve their goals. This is a unique chance to utilise your skills and experience to foster positive change and empower young people to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Knowledge and experience of Opiate Substitute Treatment (OST) pathways.
• Demonstrable experience working with young people, particularly those affected by substance misuse.
• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with young people, their families, and other professionals.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
• MUST be car driver with access to own vehicle

The working hours for the role are Monday – Friday 9-5 & due to the urgency of the role the manager can only consider candidates who are available to start within the next x2 weeks.
