We are recruiting on behalf of our client a marine and environmental services company.
They are looking for a Pollution Response Operator to work out of their base in Aberdeen on a temp to perm basis (working through us for 13 weeks then taken on by the client)
A Pollution Response Operator is required to respond to pollution incidents on and offshore as well as providing operational support with all general maintenance activities.
Principle Responsibilities;
*
Responding to pollution incidents nationally and internationally
*
Undertaking all maintenance activities as per the company’s procedures and risk assessments
*
Operating Pollution Response equipment in response to spill and incidents
*
Mobilising pollution containment and recovery systems
*
Participation in the emergency response rota as and when required
*
Ensure that all plant and equipment complies with all regulatory and company specifications
Your technical skillset should reflect the following;
Essential skillset;
* Full Clean UK Driving Licence and passport
Desirable skillset;
* Previous technical and practical hands on experience in similar role
* ENG1 or ML5 Seafarer Medical Certificate
* B2 forklift license
* Experience in Diesel engine/Hydraulics/electrics/fabrication and general maintenance
The ideal candidate will be motivated and able to work alone and within a team. A flexible approach to working will also be beneficial as this role will encompass regular travel with a necessity for remote working over sustained periods.
Training for this role will be provided and you will receive an excellent package in accordance with your experience.
Working hours are 8am - 16:30 and the expected salary once taken on would start at £23,795.00
