Title: Water Treatment Service Chemist
Reports to: Area Sales Manager
Main Purpose of Job:
The Water Treatment Service Chemist is responsible to the Area/Regional Sales Manager for all sales and service activities. This role involves servicing and supporting the existing client base in line with company policies, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction, and actively seeking and developing opportunities for additional services within the client base.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Visit defined customer locations at an agreed frequency to sample and perform analysis on water and process systems.
* Engage in regular customer interaction to highlight findings of the analysis and any actions either taken or required by the customer.
* Conduct weekly and monthly testing/analytical service for cooling towers.
* Conduct weekly and monthly testing/analytical service for steam boilers.
* Perform analysis of closed heating and chilled systems.
* Carry out water hygiene duties as and when required.
* Ensure the legal obligations of the company are met on client sites in relation to HSE legislation, including L8.
* Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
* Ensure all contracted activities are carried out in a timely manner within the existing client base, in line with company procedures and relevant legislation.
* Fully exploit all sales opportunities via collaboration with sales colleagues.
* Inform the Area Sales Manager of any problems and competitor activity within the area.
* Manage the territory effectively for service functions.
* Produce data/reports for analysis and communicate with the designated Account Manager to discuss any actions/recommendations based on results.
* Ensure the relevant “Customer Information Management” systems are maintained.
* Participate in the appropriate level of customer training.
* Absorb training as necessary and attend all courses, seminars, and training meetings arranged.
