We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our team.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing leadership to the care staff in the service as a Senior Care Assistant. Your responsibilities will include providing care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, and relevant legislative requirements.
You will have the responsibility of supervising the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards. Maintain skills at the current level, and undergo such training and development as may be required from time to time to maintain current practices.
You will be required to work from the service premises, although the company may require you to work from other locations at its discretion.
It is expected that you will work 5 days over a 7-day period, as agreed with your supervisor.
Role Requirements
Clean driving licence

Good communication skills both written and verbal

Able to work in an organised manner and prioritise own workload

Working experience in a senior role interacting with people face to face
The Senior Carer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

Ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service and supervise staff

Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service

Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service

Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users

Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth

Work within the SSSC Code of Practice

Be registered with the SSSC and work within the Code of Practice

Obtain the relevant qualification to remain registered with the SSSC if not already in receipt of the qualification commensurate with the role

Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management
