We are working with an established safety product manufacturing company based in Newport. They are recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Technician to join their team on Days (Mon-Fri) in return for a salary in the region of £42,000 along with overtime opportunity and additional training and development.
The Senior Maintenance Technician needs to possess a strong hands-on background in mechanical and electrical skills directly related to operating in a 24/5 manufacturing environment. Requires considerable working knowledge of maintenance of production machinery from application machinery through to the packaging lines and all auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Following planned and service maintenance schedules
* Reacting quickly to machinery breakdowns
* Reading engineering drawings and schematics
* Mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair
* Recording all work carried out
Qualifications & Experience required:
* HNC / HND in Engineering
* City and Guilds / Level 3 qualification in Engineering
* Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship
