CSR is working with a Tier One Building Contractor, wishing to appoint a Commercial Manager/ Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Involved in Commercial, Residential & Data Centre Projects up to £80M you will work closely with the Senior Management team responsibilities for projects will included;
* Management of all Project Commercial matters
* Develop and expand the commercial knowledge of the project team
* Oversee Vendors/Subcontracts and enforce commercial terms as necessary
* Review all commercial plans to deliver maximum margin
* Provide contractual advice during the execution process
* Identify improvements to commercial procedures
* Manage the monthly commercial audit and reporting process
* Manage CVRs monthly to satisfy the requirements of the Business Unit/Company and provide any other reports which may be required
* Ensure compliance with corporate governance
* Manage and review cost to complete forecasts
* Monthly payment applications and cash collection
* Ensure all valuations are submitted on time
* Maximise monthly valuations
* Deal with claims preparation, final account negotiation and settlement
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have a degree in Quantity Surveying/ Related Discipline (Engineering) and have the desire to develop to Commercial Manager level.
You will have a minimum of 8-10 years' commercial experience within a contracting environment, PQS backgrounds will also be considered.
You will be a conscientious, organised individual and a good communicator.
