Team Lead Satellite System Engineer

Role Overview:
As the Team Lead within the Systems Team, the chosen candidate will take charge of leading certain project aspects and mentoring team members. The role demands hands-on experience in spacecraft systems engineering, enabling immediate contributions to ongoing projects. Collaboration with international offices will also be integral, necessitating potential travel for project support and engagement with European suppliers.nResponsibilities:nLead the development of spacecraft mission and system designs, including requirements derivation and CONOPS definition.nConduct mission analysis and model spacecraft missions.nManage platform systems budgets (e.g., mass, power, data, fuel).nProduce mission-level test and verification plans, FMECA, FTA, and FDIR.nPerform feasibility studies on various scenarios and architectures.nAssist in bid work by providing technical solutions and documentation.nMaintain configuration control of systems work and documentation.nGuide a multi-disciplined team in project delivery.nEssential Skills:nBachelor's or master's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.n10+ years of commercial experience in satellite platform architecture systems engineering.nKnowledge of systems and project engineering lifecycle.nExperience in mission and systems architecture definition.nFamiliarity with a range of subsystems and engineering teams.nProficiency in systems engineering documentation development.nBasic knowledge in debris removal, end-of-life, or in-orbit maintenance.nDesired Skills:n15+ years of commercial experience in satellite systems engineering.nUnderstanding or experience in project management, procurement, or manufacturing.nFamiliarity with engineering and modeling packages or coding languages.nKnowledge of debris removal regulations, space law, and relevant past missions.nBenefits:nCompetitive base salary.nOpportunity to lead an international team on cutting-edge technology.nFlexible and hybrid working options.nGenerous holiday allowance and benefits package.nRelocation assistance and visa sponsorship.nState-of-the-art office and cleanroom facilities.nRegular social events.nLocation:
