RPS are currently working in conjunction with a global aerospacemanufacturer who are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in composites, following a sustained period of growth.

What does the job involve?

The Composite Manufacturing Engineer supports the new production Introduction (NPI) Team through the following core activities:

Definition and cost estimating of manufacturing processes for new designs.

Definition of tooling requirements

Production of job cards and work instructions

Management of development test units to prove manufacturing concepts.

Production of Process flow maps and PFMEAs to support NPI stage reviews.

Supporting the NPI team by developing, driving, and reporting the manufacturing activities of the project plan

Managing production risks with the use of tools such as Process Failure Mode and Effects analysis.

What key skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

Essential

Experience of composite manufacturing processes, primarily oven cured pre-preg parts in a highly regulated industry

Leading process development activities for new parts

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all business levels including customer liaison

Desirable

Manufacturing & assembly work

Composite manufacturing processes

Aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
