Contract: Temporary.
Pay rate: £12.54 p/h.
SRG are looking for a laboratory technician to work with a global food and beverage company based in Buckinghamshire. As a lab technician, you would be responsible for supporting hands on testing and validation of new concepts with regards to food safety and evaluating new technologies in food service equipment with respect to safety.
This role would be perfect for any science graduate who would like to gain experience in an industry lab. Experience in food testing from university or industry would be an advantage, particularly microbiological testing. Any experience in food safety or hygiene would also be a good fit.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- development teams in testing and validating new concepts with regards to Food safety
- new methodologies and procedures to evaluate for Food hygiene aspects, document and qualify new technologies in each of our equipment categories - concessions, Pods, countertops and autonomous machines.
- Tests on the latest coffee equipment and protypes to ensure they meet the highest standards for the coffee industry – legal hygiene compliance.
- to the workshop/lab facility; ensuring it is optimised to enable a clean, safe, and efficient testing environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in a Food or University QC testing laboratory or food production environment.
- Educated to A-Level standard in science related subject or proven experience in a Food production or QC Laboratory testing environment.
