AIT Engineer - Glasgow

About the Role:

We are seeking an AIT Engineer to join our busy Production team in Glasgow. This role involves providing technical expertise and production support for manufacturing product platforms for small satellite missions. You'll ensure adherence to cost, quality, safety, and timescales, and actively participate in spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute work tasks to meet standards, budgets, and deadlines.nLead spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities.nConduct spacecraft environmental tests and analyze results.nProduce comprehensive AIT Plans and reports.nDrive continuous improvement initiatives.nMaintain a safe working environment.nFoster positive stakeholder relationships.

Skills Required:

Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.nHands-on engineering experience, proficient with lab test equipment.nFamiliarity with standard tests for spacecraft AIT campaigns.nAbility to investigate and resolve system-level problems.nExperience in spacecraft build and testing.nStrong communication and organizational skills.nProficiency in Microsoft software and fluent in English.

Desired Skills:

Experience with cubesat build and test.nProficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design software.nProgramming skills, particularly in Python.nFamiliarity with ESA ECSS standards or equivalent international standards.nPrevious engagement with small/medium-sized businesses.
