Empowering Learning are looking for Tutor/Teacher to work in a SEMH School Nottingham. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is essential. Teaching ability across the age ranges is favourable. This role is to start in September.
Expectations:
Have experience working with young people
QTS or QTLS
Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
Lead a range of subjects with pupils.
Have an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND
Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
Be able to supply school with teaching references
Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environment
Have an understanding of behavioural managementMain Responsibilities:
Teaching a range of subjects in a class setting in SEND School.
Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning.
Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
Possible supervising on lunch and break times
Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
Building relationships with staff and pupils
Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
Potentially lead in a subject area
Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carersBenefits of working with Empowering Learning:
