TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in the head of the Rhymney Valley. The Secondary School provides all pupils with a challenging education which promotes learning, raises standards and endures they are properly prepared for adult life. Their main aim is for the Governors, Staff and Pupils to all work together to maximise success for the pupils in all areas of their lives both academically and socially. They encourage their pupils to be ambitious, ethical and confident so that each of them are ready to lead a fulfilling life as a valued member of society.
The Secondary School are currently looking for two driven Cover Supervisors who showcase strong behaviour management skills alongside a creative and nurturing mentality. As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will be expected to work alongside forward thinking staff to implement a unique and innovative curriculum. The contract is a full time long term position and you will be working across both KS3 and KS4 so having previous experience working with this age range is preferred but not a requirement.
The successful Cover Supervisor will have:
Level 3 or HLTA qualification (Not a requirement but valuable)
PGCE or PCET qualifications will also be accepted
Excellent classroom management skills
Knowledge of the curriculum for Wales framework and expectations
An understanding of planning and assessment expectations
