Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Passenger Transport Unit Assistant on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their PTU department.
Shift Information:
Split shift hours, must be available from 7:30am-11am for the morning shift, and 2:30pm-5pm for afternoon shift, from Monday to Friday.
25 hour week on average.
Salary: £12.18/hour.Main purpose of position:
To assist the Passenger Transport Unit Driver in the picking up and dropping off of vulnerable children and adults in Luton.
As a PTU Assistant, you will be responsible to:
Ensure the journey is as smooth as possible for the vulnerable children or adults you are collecting.
Ensure the passengers are safe, strapped in, and connected to any apparatus they may require.
Lift any apparatus, such as wheelchairs, which requires strength and physical capability.Skills and Experience:
Able to work well as part of a team.
Able to lift heavy apparatus.
Able to use own initiative when undertaking tasks.
Able to deal politely and tactfully with the vulnerable passengers.
Able to withstand any difficulty that vulnerable passengers may give.About Us:
