The ENO is looking to recruit a Philanthropy Manager to join the Development Team. As the Philanthropy Manager you will use a variety of research methods to find and successfully cultivate and ask new donors to support our productions, training schemes, and learning & participation programmes andmanage a small group ofexisting donors.

Reports to: Head of Philanthropy

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Holiday: 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays

Contract and Hours: Full-Time, 5 Days per week (35 hours)

Location: Hybrid – The London Coliseum & Home Working

As the Philanthropy Manager your key responsibilities will include:

Identifying New Supporters where you will be working to research and identify ticket buyers asprospective donors for the philanthropyteam. You will be conducting research, and planning an individualcultivation journey for each prospect inthe pipeline of prospects you have identified.

You will keep up-to-date with print, weband social media sources to identifyprospects and network links to ENO forcultivation, and research, identify and initiate a new Young Philanthropists group of donors. Using the full resources of English National Opera, your cultivation plans will include informal meetings, visits to performances, rehearsals, member and supporter events, workshops, learning projects and private dinners.

You will create bespoke engagement opportunities for each prospect you have identified, to enthuse them about the work of ENO. You will ask prospective new supporters to donate to ENO to support productions, talent development and Engage learning programmes.

You will be assigned a portfolio of existing ENO supporters, and be responsible for their stewarding, renewal and identifying opportunities for upgrading their support.
