An opening has arisen at a construction business in High Wycombe for a Quantity Surveyor, to provide assistance to the Commercial Manager, with the control of all commercial aspects of their customer and sub–contractor contracts from initial order to final account, ensuring maximising commercial performance throughout.
Negotiate Contract Terms and Conditions associated with tenders and allocated projects
Issue sub-contract orders and ensure that all commercial and contractual aspects are adhered to
Prepare applications for works carried out ensuring  payments are received in accordance with the contract requirements
Identify contract variations incorporating any non-productive and disruptive elements to assist in preparing claims
Analyse contract performance and reconcile against financial performance
Liaise regularly with the client’s project management team / surveying staff to enable all necessary surveying duties are effectively undertaken and completed.
Prepare and negotiate a Final Account to include measured and direct work, and contra charges, with clients and sub-contractors
We are looking for someone with experience of running projects as the Commercial Lead, with good practice of contract/commercial law, ideally working within JCT contracts.  Experience working with a main contractor in the sector is also desirable
