Are you a kind and caring science teacher looking to make a real difference to the lives of pupils with mental health needs? 
A SEMH setting in Newcastle is looking for a Science Teacher to join their lively and vibrant school. The school prides itself on being a nurturing environment and having a holistic approach to education and pastoral care. 
The head teacher would like to hear from candidates that are driven and a proven track record of securing successful outcomes and attainment in Science. Candidates that have a real passion for their subject and effective behaviour management are a must
The main duties will include:
Planning, teaching and assessing the Science curriculum
Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4 Science 
Select and requisition appropriate books, instructional aids and school supplies as needed 
Set up lab experients with the help of a teaching assistant 
Following the school behaviour management policy effectively
Promoting independence
Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teaching Status
Have a degree in subject area
Be passionate about their subject area
ECT’s are welcome
Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
A full checkable work history
