Tradewind are recruiting for a Secondary Teaching Assistant on behalf of an independent secondary school in the High Peak area for children aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs (SEMH).
To join us and be successful in this school based Secondary Teaching Assistant role in High Peak you will need to:
Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
Minimum of two professional references.
Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
Overseas Police certificates (only if applicable).
The job:
Secondary Teaching Assistant at an SEMH high school in the High Peak area. Driver required.
Start September 2024.
Full time, Monday to Friday.
8:30am - 4pm each day.
Temporary to Permanent basis.
Pay up to £105/day DOE.
Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies
Equal pay to perm staff after 12th week.
Supporting students aged 11-16.
All children have an EHCP for special needs including SEMH and associated needs such as Autism, ADHD or SpLD such as Dyslexia.
It will be your role to build relationships with your pupils, to understand their interests, triggers and obstacles to learning and help them to overcome them.
You will learn new skills and develop as a specialist SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant.
The school has strong links with outside agencies, parents and other schools and as such they are looking for a team player who can build relationships with other adults as well as pupils.
You will need to be a driver to reach this location.
