Job Description

What will you be doing? As a Nuclear Civil Engineer, you will join our Bristol team to support our activities within the Nuclear sector. Your main responsibilities will be:

  1. Design and analyse anchorages and supports for various civil structures within nuclear facilities, including reactor buildings, containment structures, and auxiliary buildings.
  2. Conduct structural assessments and evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  3. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation detailing design specifications, calculations, and recommendations.
  4. Conduct site inspections and evaluations to assess the condition and performance of existing anchorages and recommend remedial actions as necessary.

Who are we looking for? Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on structural analysis and design within the nuclear sector. Experience with anchorages and supports for critical structures is highly desirable. Candidates with prior experience with nuclear safety protocols and regulations are preferred. You are passionate about engineering, result-oriented, and proactive.

Qualifications

Experience, skills, and qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar programs.
  • Prior experience with nuclear safety protocols and regulations preferred.
