Our client is an exciting start-up business, that sits within the investment sector, currently managing a portfolio of fast-growing companies.
Due to this growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their business on a part-time, permanent basis. This role will be worked over 2 days a week (which can be flexible) amounting to 16 hours. Initially based from home until offices in Sevenoaks are complete (end of 2024).
Responsibilities will include:
Look after and manage bank accounts for the group's businesses
Run and manage payroll
Prepare VAT & Corporation returns
Prepare and process group payment runs
Handle purchase/sales invoices from external clients
Prepare year-end accounts for auditing
Work alongside external accountants to make sure all liability is met for the group
Liaise with HMRC for all businesses
Implement and manage a new finance system to streamline the group financial data
Issue weekly cash position reports
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous accounts experience in a similar role and have the ability to work autonomously from a home office environment.
