Oxford Active Ltd has been running successfully for over 20 years. Youll be working with children aged 4 14 years old, always ensuring the childrens safety, including during swim tests. As you are working with children, it is vital you have a good understanding of safeguarding children as well as being able to communicate effectively.

The Lifeguard hours are usually from 1pm 4/5pm, but this may vary depending on the needs of the site.

Active Camps runs from 8am 6pm Monday Friday (excluding bank holidays).


Your Schedule

  • Contract length: 22nd July 23rd August 2024
  • Between 2-15hrs per week
  • Monday Friday

Your Duties

  • Lifeguarding duties while children are using the pool facilities
  • Conduct daily swim tests with all children before allowing them to swim
  • Working as a team to provide safe, creative, structured, and appropriate play opportunities for children aged 4 14 years
  • Follow our PSOPS
  • With other staff, being responsible for keeping premises clean and tidy
  • Working within all agreed policies and procedures

About You

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a current, valid NPLQ
  • Must have previous experience working as a Lifeguard (Over 6 Months preferably)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
  • Willingness to undertake appropriate training and keep up to date with your Lifeguarding training

  • A valid NPLQ Qualification
  • Over 6 Months Experience
