About the Role

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join an amazing team as a Behaviour Mentor at an Outstanding SEMH school in Croydon.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support: Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to provide tailored support, helping them to manage their behaviour and emotions.
Behaviour Management: Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies, working closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment.
Mentorship: Act as a role model and mentor, building strong, trusting relationships with students to support their personal and academic growth.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans.
Monitoring and Reporting: Keep detailed records of student progress and behaviour, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Previous experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEMH needs, is essential.
Knowledge: Understanding of SEMH challenges and effective behaviour management techniques.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
Patience and Empathy: A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support the well-being and development of young people.
Resilience: Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
