Small Arms Supervisor

Salary:

£31,809 per annum (plus plenty of overtime opportunities to enhance your earnings)Key Responsibilities:Daily Management:

Oversee the small arms maintenance bay, storage rooms, and V&A areas.Regulation Implementation:

Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding documentation, storage, safety, and the issuance/receipt of small arms.Maintenance and Repairs:

Conduct maintenance, modification, and repair of all armaments equipment.Daily Checks:

Manage daily checks of arms in accordance with current regulations.Register Maintenance:

Maintain specific registers of weapons and equipment on short and long-term loan.JAMES Account Management:

Serve as the Senior Equipment Manager for the RAF Halton JAMES account, managing all section reports for small arms and associated equipment faults.Deputy Unit Range Safety Officer (URSO):

Assist the URSO in executing duties safely.Radiation Workplace Supervisor:

Ensure the safe storage and transport of radioactive materials, including monthly source returns to the station Radiation Safety Officer.Additional Training Provided:Small arms maintenanceRadiation workplace supervisors courseExplosives foundation courseQualifications:NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (essential)Experience from a military background (beneficial but not essential)Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)Comfortable working in a dynamic, customer-focused environmentAbility to prioritize tasks effectivelyProactive and able to work using own initiativeComfortable dealing with peopleWhy Join Us?Competitive Salary:
