System Analyst| Permanent | 70k-75k
Our client, an award-winning RegTech and a financial technology startup. As a Systems Analyst, You will lead the translation of feature requests prioritised by our Product Owner into detailed, playable user stories for execution. You will undergo a technical induction to get immersed in their cloud SaaS application, technical architecture and their customers’ core business drivers.
Your responsibilities:
- Taking a product/systems perspective, conduct a deep analysis of requirements, captured from the client-facing and product teams, to inform user story creation
- Own and drive the capture of clearly articulated, deliverable and testable Jira user stories that satisfy client and product expectations backed by detailed Confluence documentation
- Contribute as a peer of the engineering team, partnering with full-stack engineers, DevOps engineers, QA automation engineers and manual testers to co-create clear, deliverable and testable user stories that meet or exceed client and product owner expectations
- Work with the CEO, Chief Product Officer and Product Analyst to understand product direction
- If required to better understand specific client use cases, attend client meetings and workshops demonstrating knowledge of the application and supporting the development of a single-code line, productised solution
- Work with the CTO, AI/ML Lead and Solutions Architect to support product taxonomy definition and the selection and implementation of AI/ML tools and techniques for data ingestion, analysis, ranking and approval
- Ensure user stories are independent, valuable and deliverable to enable an efficient flow of work through the end-to-end product engineering process
- Champion and support the ongoing maturing and increasing automation of our technology delivery, removing friction from our end-to-end product engineering processes while maintaining governance processes as required by the largest FS Institutions Culture
- Actively engage with, contribute to, and thrive in the fast-moving startup/scaleup environment, bringing knowledge and experience of best practice and balancing this with pragmatic implementation
- Look to support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation, with an emphasis on embracing technology to maximise efficiency
Requirements:
- Systems Analyst / Business Analyst experience within a scrum/kanban-based product delivery team essential
- Competent and confident in reading and understanding technical architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, conceptual and logical data architecture and data flows typical of a browser-based SaaS application
- Proven commercial experience in an extremely fast-moving scrum/kanban (ideally startup) environment
- Experience of building relationships and trust with stakeholders such as clients, client-facing teams and engineering teams
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Experience of SaaS, web-based, cloud solutions
- Experience with data-based and AI/ML tools and techniques beneficial but not essential
- Experience in Financial Services in particular, an understanding of financial product lifecycles an advantage but not essential.
