Geography Teacher Bolton - September start
We are supporting a 'good' secondary school in Bolton who are recruiting for a teacher of Geography on a full time basis for the whole of the upcoming academic year. The role will start in September and end July 2025 you will be asked to teach classes in both key stage 3 & 4.
This position is full time, and the successful teacher will teach Geography to key stage 3 to 4 classes of varying academic abilities. You will be expected to become fully involved in school and attend departmental meetings and parents' evenings and be available for field trips. You will also be expected to plan, prepare and deliver captivation lessons and to mark the work you deliver and provide regular feedback to students.
Candidates applying for this role must have a good honours degree in Geography, or evidence of CPD such as a relevant subject knowledge enhancement course.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree educated with a good classification in Geography
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Geography
Previous experience teaching History to young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)
Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide at least two professional child related references to cover the last two years.
