Project at a major investment bank required a Senior React Developer to join their front office execution and risk management team delivering solutions that manage trade booking and risk management for fixed income, fx and derivatives trading.


As the React Developer you will build a new trader facing platform for trading, risk calculations and associated regulatory reporting using Angular, Typescript and React technologies, with involvement in the full development cycle in an Agile (Scrum) approach.


As a React Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Working within a distributed Agile team
  • Liaising with Business Analysts and end users to go through the requirements & design
  • Contributing to functional & technical design
  • Write requirements using Specification By Examples (SBE), automated tests & deliver software
  • Build excellent relationships across technology and user communities
  • Mentor less experienced team members using methods such as informal training, pair programming etc


As a React Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Extensive experience of React, Angular, Typescript development skills gained working in a financial services environment
  • Experience in back-end technologies, specifically .Net C#.
  • Experience in building complex data driven websites aimed towards data analysis.
  • Good understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices
  • High level of experience in working with and running agile feature teams
  • Good OO design skills, knowledge of patterns and architectural understanding
  • Experience of service orientated architecture (or microarchitecture)
  • Has demonstrated the ability to design and develop manual and automated test plans within an application. Has performed test plan reviews
  • Exposure to CI/CD and Test Driven Development (TDD) as well as regression and integration testing
  • Working knowledge of products, services, business flows and understanding of financial context in which technology and operating principles are used within their business area
