Key Responsibilities
Be a positive Key Worker
To maintain the learning journeys of the children in your group, including recording observations; summative assessments; next steps, school transition records and two year old assessments if appropriate.
To work in partnership with other staff members on curriculum planning, using the revised EYFS document and the Ofsted Early Years Inspection handbook (Jan 2024).
Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy of the nursery is fulfilled.
Make accurate and effective assessments of the children during the stages of development
Deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care
Provide a high standard of physical, emotional and social care
The preparation and completion of activities to suit each individual child's stage of development
Foresee the needs of special needs children and give physical, emotional and intellectual guidance as appropriate.
Plan and provide effective teaching and learning
Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children
Build a warm and caring relationship with the children and parents alike
