Service Unit Manager – Children’s
£400 per day
Tameside Council are looking for a Service Manager to help manage Children’s placement/brokerage team and to support managers in other services where there is staff sickness.
About the role:
An Interim Service Manager is required to manage, support and supervise our Children's Placements Team comprising one Team Manager and four brokers.

The role of the Team is to find placements for children and young people on an emergency and planned basis. 

The successful applicant will have experience of managing this area of work and understand the pressure that comes with the role, which will require staying on after 5pm when a same day search commenced during office hours is needed.

Minimum three days on site is required, preference four.

The successful applicant will also provide support to other teams under the Head of Service portfolio in the absence of Service Managers which will include Care Leavers Service and Fostering
