Group FP&A Analyst

Are you a skilled and experienced financial professional seeking an opportunity to drive strategic decision-making within a dynamic, global organization? My client, a world leader in market research, is currently looking for a Group FP&A Analyst to join the UK finance function. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate and insightful financial information, empowering key stakeholders to make informed strategic decisions.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Collaborate with divisional and regional finance leads to oversee annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis to provide insights into actual performance versus budget, forecast, and prior years.


Reporting & Presentation:

  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports to senior management, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Analyse monthly and quarterly P&L reports, providing insightful commentary on divisional results.
  • Lead the consolidation of financial data from multiple business divisions.
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly and quarterly business review decks for Divisional and Corporate Leadership.


Systems & Data:

  • Develop tools and processes to drive continuous improvement in financial data and analytics.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Finance and Management reporting systems.
  • Drive best practices throughout the Global Finance Function, ensuring standardized approaches to reporting, analysis, and processes.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other finance departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally in projects with the wider divisional finance community, Group, and Corporate FP&A to drive data integrity and timely and accurate management reporting.


Qualifications:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified or Masters in Finance/Business.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in financial analysis and reporting, preferably within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial planning software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
