Position: Mechanical Fitter or Senior Mechanical Fitter
Start Date: Immediate
Role Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering team within a lower tier COMAH facility. We are looking for an experienced, qualified Mechanical Fitter.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance in an industrial setting.
* Work with equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, and pipework.
* Conduct mechanical plant installation and modification.
* Carry out statutory inspections including pressure testing and plant integrity checks.
* Utilize Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
* Interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and technical information.
* Adhere to company safety protocols and permit to work systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum RQF level 3 qualification (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering.
* Recognized Mechanical apprenticeship preferred.
* Training in MEWP’s, Abrasive Wheels, and Confined Spaces is advantageous.
