Speech and Language Therapist
If you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in working in Neurology, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Community team in the North London area.
The post holder will provide a speech and language therapy service to adults with Dyasphasia training. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team which includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Neuropsychologists, Specialist Nursing and Rehabilitation Assistants.
The team provides a service to the person in the place most suited to their current need (their place of residence, day centre, place of work, clinic). We also offer groups which are held in a clinic setting.
Salary: £31/h (Day shifts)
What you'll need as a Speech Language Therapist:
Highly specialist knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent qualifications, including further theoretical training and experience to Master's level equivalent in required speciality
Continued Professional Development evidenced by attendance at short specialist postgraduate courses to maintain and develop own specialist knowledge and expertise.
Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy leading to registration with HCPC)
HCPC Licence to Practice, Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Membership of relevant CEN
6 months of paid patient facing UK nursing experience from within the past 3 years
