Freelance Estimator - Sheffield
My client is a leading interior fitout company based in Sheffield that specialise in work and office space.
They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for fitout projects and will play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates, ensuring competitive pricing, and contributing to the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and suppliers to gather essential information for accurate estimating.
Identify and quantify all necessary materials, labor, and equipment needed for projects.
Prepare and present comprehensive bid proposals to clients.
Review and evaluate subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing.
Monitor and track project costs to ensure adherence to budget and financial targets.
Assist in value engineering processes to optimize project costs without compromising quality.Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the fitout or construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office applications.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred
